We were very sad to learn of Stan's death. He would call us and visit a couple times each year...always asking about our family and friends he remembered in Arriba. He was a caring friend to our neighbor, Roger Jackson and loved to visit with him. May you have comfort knowing that he is not suffering and may God be with you during this difficult time.

Goodbye, My Brother
My brother Stan what an awesome guy,
I don't know why you had to die.
You were so cute as a little boy,
You smiled at us and brought us joy.
Even though things could be a little trying,
You never went away and left us crying,
I never wanted to be a pest,
I needed your skills, cause you tried your best.
I'm glad those times, were only a few,
It was hard for me to argue with you,
But that's just me, as you are you,
And in the end you always came through.
This is Arriba where you are from,
We all are here with Dad and Mom,
Our hearts are broken, as you know,
We really can't bear to let you go.
Those times you were so loony and funny,
Will be cherished like gold and all types of money,
I know that everyone here will agree with me,
That you tried your best you could ever be.
We wish so much that you were here,
Or just down here in Arriba giving us cheer.
It's happy thoughts that will get us through,
Like all the fun we shared with you.
And now my poem will come to an end,
Until the day we meet again,
I pray that you are now at peace.
Goodbye my Brother Stan With Love From Me

I am so sorry for your loss. May "the God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) comfort and soothe your heart. His promises, found in the Holy Scriptures, can offer much hope. It assures us at John 5:28,29 that our loved ones will be remembered and brought back to life in the resurrection. Please allow God's Word to strengthen you and help you to endure this most difficult time.

God looked around the garden, and found an empty space. He looked down upon the earth, and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful for he only takes the best. He knew that you were weary, and he knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never be well on earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids, and whispered peace be thine.
Rest in Peace Stan.
