Obituary of Paul Galli

View Video Tribute Longtime Cheyenne Wells, Colorado resident Paul H. Galli, age 69, died Saturday June 14, 2008 at Presbyterian St. Luke’s Hospital in Denver. Paul was born October 21, 1938 on the farm north of Winona, Kansas, in Logan County to John Jacob and Carolina Christina (Adolf) Galli. On January 2, 1963 Paul was united in marriage to Rose Marie Renner at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cheyenne Wells. To this union six children were born, Mark, Matthew, Jason, Zane, Katrina, and Wade. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Paul enjoyed the time spent with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He worked many years in farming and ranching, and many others in carpentry and trucking. After retirement, he worked for Cheyenne County as a landfill manager. Preceding him in death were his parents, his daughter Katrina in November 2000, two sisters Imogene Sporing and Helen Hawkins and an infant sister. Surviving family members are his loving wife of forty-five years Rose of their home in Cheyenne Wells. His sons; Mark, Matthew, Jason, Zane, and Wade Galli all of Cheyenne Wells and one brother John Galli of Colby, KS. A Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday June 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cheyenne Wells. Father Boleslaw Kuzma, presider. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery, Cheyenne Wells. Memorials may be made in Paul’s name to the Sacred Heart Church or to the American Red Cross Blood Bank, and may be left at or sent to the Eastern Colorado Bank in Cheyenne Wells.
