Dear Rose and Family, I wanted to express my sympathy and condolences. I enjoyed Paul's friendship the years I lived and worked in Cheyenne Wells. I looked forward to him coming into the elevator with his truck every day, sometimes multiple times a day. I also enjoyed deer, antelope, coyote, and Prairie Dog hunting with him. In fact the two seasons I hunted antelope with Paul are the only two times I have ever hunted antelope. In the fall of 1995 we were hunting in eastern Lincoln County and Paul shot at an antelope that we could barely see it was so far away. I watched through the spotting scope while he shot. After he shot the antelope took off running. It ran a short distance and fell over dead. I paced from where he shot from to the area where the antelope was standing when he shot it. It was 660 paces which is well over 600 yards. I have told that story countless times to different people and I doubt many of them believe me, but anyone who knew Paul knew it was the truth. It was a privilege to know Paul and be his friend. With My Thoughts and Prayers, Marc

Dear Rose and family.... I just read from the Love's Funeral Home site that Paul died on Friday. Our love and prayers are with you as you go through this very sad time. I am so thankful that I got to meet him in Burlington's Drug Store on a cold and stormy day as we passed through Burlington (January 2007 after Aunt Lydia's funeral) and briefly chat with him and tell him that I loved him. We never know if when we see someone if that will be our last conversation on this earth or not. Time is precious. I have special memories of Paul and his family in my heart that are precious. May God's comfort, strength, peace, and love be with you all. I will put you family on my prayer chain.
