I had the distinct pleasure of telling Wendell's story to the world. I will never forget this amazing man or his horse, Champ, who I'm sure misses him terribly.

Hello Don and family, I was married to Wendell's cousin Robert(Bob)Cutler- his mother was Halle Kidder-maried to Ralph Cutler )for 25 years. He passed away in 2006 at age 92. I met Wendell once when Bob and I stopped in Limon in 1982 (I think!or atleastinthe 80's)on our way to Califonia to visit Bob's daughter. Wendell and I talked on the telephone many times after Bob died- I always enjoyed our talks & his news about his kitties and his horse" Champ"! I was sad to hear he died, but not too surprised.I never knew the extent of his family! It was so kind of you to send the notice of his death to me. He was a neat guy ! (a Real cowboy!) Much love to you all! Carol Cutler

Wendell was a favorite of mine and many as a Hugo presence. He lived a good and cheerful life and we will miss him. It won't be the same without him being around. Our deepest sympathies and prayers to you all in the passing of a humble but great man.
