Obituary of Lola Williams
Lola Laurraine Williams, 78, of Limon, Colorado went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 13, 2010.
Lola was born on July 19, 1932 to Leonard Ray and Lois Wilma (Overholt) Dare; she was one of three children. She graduated from Douglas County High School in 1951.
Lola married William Jim Williams on April 01, 1952 in New Mexico and the couple was blessed with four children.
Lola loved being a homemaker and tending to her families needs. She loved to read and study Gods word. From 1998 2008 she worked as part of Set Free Prison ministries, grading courses and ministering to the inmates that took part in correspondence courses that the ministry made available. She loved people and she loved to be around people. She would much rather be out of the house and busy doing the Lords work, than (what she considered) stuck indoors. In the last days before her death she was still concerned with the fact that the Lord would have her to do more for Him, even in poor health the joy of the Lord shone on her face as she shared the Lord with a family member.
Due to health issues in 2008 Lola came to Limon, Colorado to live near her son David and his wife Cindy and family. In 2009 she moved in with them, she brought much joy to their home and will be greatly missed by them.
Lola was preceded in death by her husband William Jim Williams, mother Lois Wilma Dare and brother Howard Dare.
She is survived by her father Leonard Dare of Lakewood, Colorado, and her children; Walter (Becky) Williams of Castle Rock, Colorado, David (Cindy) Williams of Limon, Colorado, Ellen Morgan of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Rose Ann (Stewart) Pegues of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Lola is also survived by her sister Virginia Helwick (Lewis) Jackson of Greeley, Colorado, thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and many friends.
