Obituary of Mary Mosher
Fritzi Mosher GRAM, 78 of Boyero, Colorado passed away March 26, 2011. Fritzi was born January 11, 1933 in Breckenridge, Colorado the third child born to John Sr. and Hazel Sampson of Breckenridge.
Fritzi attended school in Tiger and Breckenridge, CO. Fritzi was a mountain gal; she didnt leave the mountains until she was 19 and came to work in Hugo at the Greymont Hotel and Restaurant. Fritzi came to Hugo in the dark and was shocked the next morning because there were no mountains, she had no idea there was such a place with no mountains. She said she never would have stayed if she came in the daylight.
Fritzi married Ray Mosher on December 16, 1951 in Colorado Springs. To this union four children were born Sharon Matheson, Mike Mosher, Shirley Ciskowski and Susie Monks.
Mary was given the nickname Fritzi by her Dad. Growing up in Breckenridge, Fritzi was her older brother Johnnys shadow. They get into trouble with their Mother by shooting the clothes pins off the lines, hiding the kindling for the stove, and hiding out when Mom called them to dinner.
Fritzi made our community a home by serving in: Methodist Ladies fair booth and various activities, Lincoln County Cattle Women Cowbells, Election Judge in Boyero, Substitute Post Master in Boyero, Substitute cook at school, and various other organizations.
Everyone that was the age of her grandkids or younger was required to call her Gram!
Gram loved: The Broncos- there was always a chance they could make the playoffs, sleeping in the back of her vehicle in the mountains, camping at Tiger, getting new kids toys at garage sales, leaving at four a.m. to go shopping- she was glad when Wal-Mart started opening 24 hours, calving heifers for 50 years, card parties, ropings, fixing lunch for 100 people at branding(to eat lunch you were required to have cow manure on your pants), making rice krispies, working at the Methodist Booth at fair, spoiling her kids-grandkids-and great grandkids.
Things that were loved about Gram: Everything, she was fun, a dare devil, loved Papa, loved her grandkids, loved everyone like her own family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers (John Sampson Jr, and Gordon), sister Cherry Sampson White, daughter Sharon Matheson, Grandsons Scott Matheson & Brian Dennis Mosher, granddaughter Tina Davenport (Leroy) Son in law Ricky Ciskowski.
Fritz is survived by husband Ray Mosher, son Mike Mosher, daughters Shirley Ciskowski and Susie Monks nine grandkids, twenty-two great grandkids and many family and friends.
