Obituary of Betty Smiley

Biography Betty Lou Smiley, 78, of Limon Colorado passed away in Aurora, Colorado on June 04 2011. Betty was born on February 27, 1933 in Independence, Iowa to Gladys Drury. She grew up in Iowa and graduated high school. Betty married J.D. Smiley in Albert Lee, Minnesota on November,29, 1952 and the couple had five children. Betty Boo as her friends called her, enjoyed life in a small town, everyone knew her and she knew everyone. Betty spent much of her years living and working in Limon, Colorado at the Husky where she wore many of hats. Betty loved to visit with whom ever she came into contact with she didn't know a stranger. Betty collected key chains, jewelry and loved to shop. She always went out of her way to help anyone in need whether it was her children, grandchildren or a neighbor. Betty loved to watch football on television and had her favorite team the Pittsburgh Steelers. Betty was preceded in death by her mother and her husband J.D. Smiley. She is survived by her children; Ralston Eugene (Kathy) Smiley of Edenton, Kansas, Troy Smiley Of Salem, New Hampshire, Sheila S. (Frank) Smith of Limon, Colorado, David Allen (Kimberly) Smiley of Casa Grande, Arizona and Nancy ( Louis) Smiley Thorpe of Cameron, Missouri. Betty is also survived by eleven grandchildren Ross Jr Smiley, Willie Smiley, Scott Smiley, Jerrimiah Smiley, Zachary Smiley, Tara Jo Smiley, Troy Jr Smiley, Sacara R Smiley, Jimmy D Smiley, Julie Smiley, Dave Ross Smiley. And six great grandchildren Sencea Smiley, Raliegh Smiley, Ellie Thorpe, T'erica M Hielscher , Maxson Smiley, Carson Smiley. And who ever else called her grandma and many friends.
