"Like the ripples in a pond Grandma Dorothy, your love, examples and life was spread out and touched the lives of so many others. You will be greatly missed. I know heaven just received one of its most special angels. Rest in peace Grandma Dorothy and oh how we love you!...Fly with Angels.

SLEEPING AT A FOOTBALL GAME - March 23, 2012
Posted: March 23, 2012 | Last Revised: March 23, 2012
I REMEMBER WHEN MY GRANDMA CAME TO VISIT US IN HAWAII WHEN I WAS A JUNIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL MANY MANY YEARS AGO. WE OWNED A BIG STATION WAGON BACK THEN AND GRANDMA WENT WITH THE FAMILY TO ANOTHER TOWN WHERE I HAD A FOOTBALL GAME TO PLAY THAT NIGHT AND GRANDMA WANTED TO GO AND WATCH. I COULD NOT RIDE WITH THEM FOR I HAD TO RIDE THE BUS WITH THE REST OF THE TEAM. JUST BEFORE HALFTIME A THICK BLANKET OF FOG MOVED IN SO THEY HAD TO STOP THE GAME CAUSE YOU COULD NOT SEE A THING. AFTER A WHILE THEY CALLED OFF THE GAME. WALKING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT TO OUR CAR, EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE SOMEONE WOULD SAY, WHAT IS THAT NOISE. AS WE APPROACHED THE CAR WE FOUND OUT IT WAS MY GRANDMA ASLEEP IN THE CAR AND JUST A SNOREING AWAY, BOY COULD SHE SNORE, WE RAN QUICKLY TO THE CAR SO WE COULD ROLL UP THE WINDOWS SO THAT NO ONE ELSE COULD HEAR.IM NOT PICKING ON YOU GRANDMA IM JUST SAYING NOW THAT YOU SLEEP AMONG THE ANGELS GRANDMA REST IN PEACE, I LOVE YOU, AND THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES.A

The car ride - March 23, 2012
Posted: March 25, 2012 | Last Revised: March 25, 2012
My late wife Janet and myself had traveled to Holdridge, Nebraska to bring mother back to Flagler. We stopped at Norton, Kansas at a Convenience Store for a drink. Janet and I jumped out of the car and went inside. We noticed mother was'nt with us and looked out at the car. Mother was still in the back seat waving her arms. I went outside to the car and was informed she could'nt get the seat up to get out. I told her it was a four door car and all she had to do was open the back door and step out. She told me to never tell anyone back home but she told people before i had a chance. I have many stories of my mother and me.
love you mama,
your son, Ora.AA
