Obituary of Kenneth Neve

Kenneth LeRoy Neve, a resident of Burlington, Colorado, passed away on June 1, 2012 at Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital in Burlington. He was 32 years old. Kenny was born on August 13, 1979 in Denver, CO to Michael Neve and Donna Weiss. He was the second of two boys. In 1992, after spending most of their childhood in Denver, they moved to Stratton, CO where Kenny attended and graduated from Stratton High School in 1998. In 2005, and then again in 2006, Kenny’s life was forever blessed when his daughters Isabelle and Loralie were born. He loved his little girls so much and you could tell when you saw him with them. When he wasn’t working, he was at the park with them or on some new adventure. There wasn’t anyone who could tell a bedtime story like their daddy. He was their hero. Kenny made an impact on everyone he met. He loved to entertain and always managed to make you smile or laugh. He loved April Fool’s Day and every year he would come up with something bigger and better to fool his family and friends. Halloween was another of his favorite days. He had such a creative imagination and loved to dress up with his girls and take them trick-or-treating. He was very talented when it came to drawing or telling stories and he always had a good joke to tell you. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Jacqueline Neve, and his maternal grandparents, Frank and Edith Hixenbaugh, and his uncle Gary Hixenbaugh. Left to cherish his memories is his mother and step-father; Donna and Gene Weiss; father and step-mother; Mike and Cindy Neve; his children, Isabelle and Loralie Neve; brother, Kirk and his wife, Mindy Neve, their children, Brett, Jackie and Shaun; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The Strongest Man The strongest man I ever met Never won any awards or trophies for it He was stronger than any World’s Strongest Man winner He wasn’t as big as they were, but much thinner He couldn’t bench 1000 pounds in weight, but he could lift my whole worst date He wasn’t ripped or built like He-Man He couldn’t run as fast as The Flash, or compete with Brainiac’s master plan, but he was my hero for so much more He was always at my side when it was time for war He would follow me into battle, but he was the leader When I got cut, he was the bleeder He bled for everyone in different ways only he knows That is why he will forever be one of my greatest heroes So forget about the Incredible Hulk, or Superman and all of Batman’s moving parts For every pound of muscle and gadgets they had, he had 20 times the heart There are body builders, power lifters, comic book characters and so many others, but the Strongest Man has always been and will always be MY LITTLE BROTHER!
