Obituary of Mary Warren
Burlington, Colorado resident Mary Evelyn Warren passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at The Legacy in Burlington. She was 89 years old.
Mary was born on June 29, 1923 in Wauwatosa, WI, to Sylvester and Nora (Downing) Reuteman. She was one of five children. Mary attended school in Wauwatosa and graduated from Holy Angels High School in 1940. She then went on and attended Clark College.
On June 24, 1945, Mary married Raymond Joseph Warren in Milwaukee, WI. To this union, eight children were born; Michael, Kathleen, James, Mary Pat, Patricia, Diana, Daniel, and Patrick.
Mary and Raymond lived most of their life in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. After they moved to Burlington, Colorado in 2008, she became a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Burlington.
She was a housewife who enjoyed spending her spare time bowling and golfing. She was very proud of her high score of 200 in bowling, as well as her hole in one in golf. She also enjoyed making many afghans for her family as well as needle-point pictures. It was a joy for her to bake cookies for her grandchildren, but her specialty was a family favorite chip dip recipe which is now a standard at every family gathering
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond in 2010, three daughters, Kathleen, Diane and Patricia, one granddaughter, and one brother Lester Reuteman.
She is survived by her five children: Mike Warren (Mary) of Forest Knolls, California, Jim Warren (Carol) of Wheaton, Illinois, Mary Pat Weingardt (Doyle) of Burlington, Colorado, Dan Warren (Aileen) of Elgin, Illinois, and Pat Warren (Tina) of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers John (Ruth) Reuteman of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Tom Reuteman of Brookfield, Wisconsin and one sister, Fehr Malloy of Elm Grove, WIisconsin.
