Obituary of Alice Warren

Alice Patricia “Pat” Warren, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and sister passed away December 1, 2012 after her second courageous battle with cancer. She was born Alice Patricia Kucerik on January 2, 1943 to Frank Carl and Mary Jane ( Zajac) Kucerik who preceded her in death. Pat is survived by two sisters; Mary Katherine and Joyce (Joe). The family lived in the Calhan area where Pat attended Fairplay School and graduated from Calhan High School. Pat married Hal Richard Warren on June 7, 1959. She loved being Hal’s wife and being a mother to her children. Pat loved to cook and her cooking was legendary. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling and hiking. She loved dancing, wading in the ocean and the sound of the waves. The beauty of the mountains took her breath away. Pat was a para-professional teacher at the Calhan School District for many years where she touched many lives. She was very active in the Living Word Church of Calhan where she played piano for many years. Pat loved singing and playing the piano and gave lessons to many children, including her own. She is survived by her husband Hal of Calhan, Colorado and their children; Connie Warren of Moodus, CT, Hal Warren Jr. (Sheri) of Rochelle, IL, Brian Warren (Judy) of Louisville, KY and Jackie Warren of Cleveland, OH. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Brett. Pat was the beloved grandmother to Annabelle, Charles, Crystal, Hal III and Nicholas. She was also loved and will be missed by her five great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, aunt, and many other family members. Pat was loved by many whose lives she touched in the family and the community.
