To the Polhemus family, I am so sorry for the loss of Chuck to your family. I have very fond memories of being at the farm spending time with you and Chuck, being chased by turkeys and getting in to trouble. He is at peace now and have a great laugh with my Dad. We love you and keep you in our prayers!!

Chuck - February 20, 2014
Posted: February 20, 2014 | Last Revised: February 20, 2014
The feature I will remember the most about Chuck is his eyes. I know it sounds strange, but I still clearly picture how his eyebrows would raise( one slightly higher than the other) as he was finishing up telling a story as if his eyes were putting an exclamation point at the end of a tall tale(which on occasion Chuck's stories could include a hint of exaggeration). I remember his eyes when he was focused and determined on something. They weren't looking at anything in particular but seemed be to fixed on something internal or at least unseen by everyone else. For us poor folks that had the foolishness to argue with Chuck I remember his eyes staring so intently at me that I swore he was trying to peer through to the back of my head and read the expiration date stamped in the back. There is a quote from Friday Night Lights that the football team would chant before every football game that says it better than I can "Clear eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose".
Chuck you are missed.

I extend my sympathy to the family and friends of Chuck at this difficult time. May you be comforted by the promise of the resurrection and the end of sickness and death forever. God makes this amazing promise to us at Revelation 21:4, which states, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." I hope these words are of some consolation.
