Our sympathy to the entire Kimble family on the loss of your father and husband. Mr Kimble allowed mento develop skills I didn't know I had and I appreciate it immensely. As the oboe player I saw many batons and dry spit balls go by my head. My love to the entire family as you mourn the loss of this "master of music."

My prayers and thoughts are with your family. Don was not only a supremely talented person, he had tremendous influence on so many young people. One of my main memories of Don was when he sang "Hosanna" at church. Whomever wrote it could never have imagined it performed in such a glorious way!! He put his heart in all he did.

Our deepest sympathies to the Kimble family. Don was a great teacher, gentleman, and friend. From my grade school days taking private drum lessons at he and Peggy's home, to the wonderful high school Musicales he directed, no one, other than my parents, has impacted my life more than Mr. Kimble. I will forever be grateful for the good fortune of having him as my music teacher.

Mr. Kimble fostered a love of music in me, and for this I am truly grateful. More than that, he was a man of integrity, and one who expected and sometimes demanded the best from his students. Don's love for the Lord, for his wife, for his family, and for his students was an inspiration.
My condolences to his family.

Back in the 60s and 70s I sang in a men's quartet with Don, Red Gaede and Chuck Pierce. Even though adults Don expected perfection. He would tell me "Practice perfect pitch Paul."I have no idea how many funerals we sang at. Today a dear friend is in the presence of our Lord.
