Obituary of Kandee Despard

Kandace Lee Despard peacefully passed away in her home in Byers on December 5th, 2022, surrounded by love. She lost her battle with cancer and was 69 years old. Born March 1, 1953, in Denver, Colorado, Kandace was the daughter of Wayne and Virginia Berridge. Kandace grew up in the north Denver area with her 3 sisters and graduated from Ranum High School. Kandace married Patrick Despard in February 1972, and they had 2 children. Kandace worked a clerical position at Sears and The City of Thornton. Kandace enjoyed simple things like camping at the lake, fishing, crafts at the senior centers, driving friends to appointments and events, sitting on the porch in the sun and watching the local birds, Tai Chi and mostly spending time with family and friends. The unconditional love she had for everyone cannot be matched. Kandace was preceded in death by her father Wayne Berridge, husband Patrick Despard and sister Lorie Berridge. Survivors include mother Virginia Berridge and husband Judson Mygatt of Watsonville California, son Kurt Despard of Byers, daughter Heidi Despard of Thornton, sister Julie Welsh and husband Mark of Greeley, sister Tami Schneider of Commerce City, granddaughter Adriana Pacheco of Broomfield, grandsons Jeffrey Despard of Thornton, Tanner Despard of Hays, Kansas, and Brody Despard of Byers, and tons of relatives and friends.
