Obituary of Mary Peck

Mary Elizabeth Peck of Limon, Colorado passed away on January 17, 2015 at her home with loved ones at her side. Mary Elizabeth Randolph was born December 5, 1935 to Edna (Fawcett) and Otis Randolph at Mountain Home, Arkansas. She lived there till the age of 12 after finishing the eighth grade. Mary moved then with her family to Boyero, Colorado where her dad was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad and shortly thereafter her mom became post master there. Mary attended 2 years of high school in Hugo, Colorado then left to work in Limon. In 1952 she met and married Don Peck the love of her life, they had six children, Debra Jean, Donald Anthony, Terri Ann, Patricia Lynn, Kimberly Elizabeth and Kevin Lee. Mary spent most of her life loving and raising her children. The love and care of her children and grandchildren was her job. Mary also loved raising flowers, cooking, entertaining family and hiking. Her theme for life was “The only ladder we need to climb, is the one that leads us closer to God. All others are purely incidental.” Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Edna and Otis Randolph, her beloved husband Donald D. Peck, brother, Edward Randolph, sister JoAnn Loss and great grandson Hudson Grey Tatum. She is survived by her children; Debra (Myron) Sams, Donald (Janet) Peck, Terri (Tim) Brann, Patricia Boyd, Kimberly Hilferty and Kevin (Shondell) Peck. Mary is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brother, Sam (Lynn) Randolph and sister Helen Lawrence.
