Obituary of Sandra E. Woodis

Sandra E. Woodis, 75, passed away peacefully, June 16, 2019 at her home in Byers, Colorado.  She was surrounded by friends and family.

Sandra was born on February 20, 1944 in Kewaskum, Wisconsin, to Arthur and Margaret Nohr.  This is where she grew up and attended school.  She worked in Nursing and as a School Teacher in Wisconsin.

In 1978, Sandra and her three sons moved to Denver where she continued teaching handicapped children.  This was a job that she dearly loved.  She was united in marriage to Clark (Corky) Woodis in Reno, Nevada, on November 7, 1986.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  brother, Bob Nohr; son, Michael and grandson, Ethan Rose.

She is survived by her husband, Corky Woodis; son, Timothy (Christi) Rose of Deer Trail, Colorado; Douglas Rose of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin and Bill (Cresta) Woodis of Deer Trail, Colorado.  Extended family includes James (Beth) Woodis of Fruita, Colorado; Kristine (Jim) Anley of Lakewood, Colorado and Debi Woodis of La Junta, Colorado. Her siblings; Jim (Colleen) Nohr of Cornell, WI, Marita (Chuck) Kaehler of West Bend, WI and John (Cheryl) Nohr of Cornell, WI. She was blessed with eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends in Wisconsin and Colorado.

A Memorial Service and Reception will be held at the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, 278 S. Sherman, in Byers, Colorado.  The Service will be on June 22, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with the Reception immediately following.
