Obituary of John Nelson Price

John Nelson Price Age 67, of Deer Trail, Colorado. passed away unexpectedly January 10, 2017 at home. Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Ethel Price. Survived by son John R. (Karen) Price; daughter Shannon (Larry) Mikita; daughter Angela (Trent) Barber; Brother Rick (Jeri) Price; step-sister Jaime (Mark) Burchfield; Granddaughters Caitlyn (Dylan), Savannah, Taylor, and Shadra; Grandsons Tyler, Johnathon, Zaine, Conner, Sterling, and Dylan. John married Cherlyn (Graves) in 1969 and to this union had John R, Shannon and Angela. After the dissolution of marriage John then met Pamela (Pennell) and married Pam in 1987. John graduated from Deer Trail HS in 1967 and continued on to NJC. John worked for First National Bank of Denver before returning to the family ranch in Deer Trail in 1971, where he joined his father in running the ranch until Richard’s death in 1999. In the fall of 2000 John R returned to the ranch to work alongside his father to continue on the Price Ranch tradition. John was a pillar of the community and was involved in many different organizations and boards. John’s pride was his family and spending time with them at his home on the ranch. John enjoyed restoring classic cars and entering them in many parades with kids and grandkids riding along. John never knew a stranger and brought a smile to everyone he met.
