He married Marvel Rose Edmunds on April 7, 1951. To this union 4 children were born, Debra, David, Donald and Deanna. Wayne was a loving Husband and Father.
Wayne joined the United States Marine Corp on August 21, 1951, stationed at Camp Pendleton in California and served a tour of duty overseas during the Korean War. He and Marvel returned home from San Francisco on August 21, 1953. In 1954 they settled 17 miles South of Vona, Colorado where he started working for Iron Mueller farm and ranch until he retired in 1995. The last 3 months he lived with David and Arlene until he passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. He will be missed very much by all those who loved and knew him.
He dedicated his life to working hard and providing the best he could for his family. Wayne was a past member of the Vona Lions Club. He enjoyed playing cards to wee hours of the morning with family and friends, fishing, and pheasant hunting.
