Obituary of Warren Clemans

Warren E. Clemans was born February 11, 1922, near Flagler, Colorado and passed away on April 24, 2006, in Denver at the age of 84. He was the 7th of the 9 children of James O. and Flora M. ( Rupert) Clemans. As a young man he worked on various farms in the area. Warren met Valetta V. Anderson on June 30, 1941, in church at the Gospel Hall north of Kanorado, Kansas. They were married on August 29 in St. Francis, Kansas. They had 4 children and spent nearly 65 years together. He accepted Christ as his Savior on September 1, 1941. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945 in the Pacific. After returning from the service Warren & Valetta farmed in the Beaver Valley community until 1955 when they moved to Burlington. He was employed at Plains Grain for 13 years and at various elevators after that. In 1978, he became owner/manager of Clemans Oil. After retiring in 1990, he helped out at the Burlington School bus garage for several years. Warren loved his yard and had beautiful flowers year after year. He loved his wife and family which eventually included 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and always enjoyed having his family around him. Warren always had a smile for everyone. He was a sweet, caring and kind man. He will be truly missed. Preceding Warren in death were his parents, stepfather, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, an infant granddaughter, Shauna Marie King and son-in-law Randall J. Dreitz. Surviving him are his loving wife, Valetta, sons Arlyn (Sharon) Clemans and Royce (Yvonne) Clemans of Burlington; daughters Janice (Tom) King of Eads and Donita Dreitz of Stratton. Grandchildren are Sharlyn (Bryan) Rose and Madison; Starla (Mark) Koster, Mackenzie and Michaela; Sundee Clemans; Yvette ( Dave) Korbelik, Sarenna, Kolbran, and Bohdan; Lance (Stephanie) Clemans, Caden, Trey and Boston; Geleslie (Shannon) King, Bailey, Melanie and Cameron; Waylon (Sherry) King, Sheranda and Tallon; Jaton King and Paris; Dalene Rowley (Doug Brogan) and Carissa. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 10:30 AM at the Evangelical Free Chruch in Burlington, with Pastor Ron Lee officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation was held on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in his name and may be left at the Equitable Savings and Loans in Burlington.
