Obituary of Glenn Wallace

Glenn Wallace, 89, of Agate, CO passed away on January 03, 2007 in the Simla Good Samaritan Care Center.
Glenn was born on November 20, 1917 in Nickerson, Kansas to Chester Guy and Suzie (Kittle) Wallace. Glenn graduated from Plains, Kansas.
Glenn married Evelyn Louise Mortimer on July 25, 1937 in Kansas. Evelyn passed away in a car wreck on December 25, 1939. Glenn then met and married Jessie Irene (Schell) on November 08, 1941 in Meade, KS.
Glenn lived in the Agate area 66 years and enjoyed farming and ranching. He was a member of the Elbert County Sheriffâs Posse, Simla Gun Club and was a 4-H Leader. Glenn enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved his family. He was a member of Agate Soil Conservation District, was School Board President in Holt and drove a school bus for 17 years, 1956 thru 1973.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Evelyn and second wife, Jessie, one sister Velma King, and three brothers Bud, Guy, Elden Wallace.
Glenn is survived by his children; Glenn (Diana) Wallace of Strausburg, CO, Chester (Jeannette) Wallace of Agate, CO, Harold (Janice) Wallace of Byers, CO, Lloyd (Connie) Wallace of Agate, CO, Carol (Frank) Robertson of Agate, CO and Faye (Richard) Thomas of Calhan, CO. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren; Tiffany, Glenn, Kristy, Cindy, Debra, Lyle, Allan, Vicky, Wade, Lane, Tish, Melissa, Shauna, Michelle, and Angie. Also surviving are 25 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Glenn will be missed by his family as well as friends and neighbors.
A funeral service will be held for Glenn on Monday, January 8, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the Agate School Gymnasium in Agate, CO with Monsignor Michael Chamberlin officiating. Interment will follow at Pershing Memorial Cemetery in Limon, CO.
Public visitation will be held Sunday, January 07, 2007 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Limon.
