Obituary of Marjorie Dreier
Marjorie M. Dreier, age 84 of Genoa, Colorado passed away May 17, 2007 at the Lincoln Community Hospital in Hugo, CO.
Marjorie was born March 19, 1923 in Genoa, Colorado to Anders and Maud (Owen) Andersen. She attended school in Genoa and graduated from Genoa High School in 1941. Following high school she attended Regis Business College.
Marjorie married Harold A. Dreier on November 25, 1943 in Genoa, Colorado. To this union two sons were born. The couple lived in California while Harold was in the service and returned to the Genoa community in 1950. Marjorie worked in the Genoa School as a cook for several years. She also served as the Lincoln County Clerk for eighteen years. Marjorie and Harold loved to travel and camp in their RV prior to his death in 1993.
Marjorie was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Genoa, and the Genoa Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Hugo Golf Club. Marjorie knitted, crocheted, and quilted with many of her needle work items going to her grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Gene and wife Francis Andersen, one grandson Gail Dreier, and one great nephew Mathew Ewing.
Marjorie is survived by two sons Harold Kent and wife Ilene Dreier of Delta, CO, and Douglas and wife Sue Dreier of Buena Vista, CO. One Sister Bettie and husband Glen Ewing of Genoa, CO. Three grandchildren Mike and wife Cammie Dreier, Terri and husband Ord Miller, and Tammy and husband Brad Kavanagh. Eight great grandchildren April, Holly, Bridget, Amber, Mikayla, Mikenzie, Erin, Amanda, Raymond, and Cody. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Memorial services will be held Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Genoa with Rev. Donald Schulz, officiating.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 20, 2007 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Love Funeral Home in Limon.
