Obituary of Leo Vick

View Video Tribute Leo Francis Vick, 88, of Limon, CO passed away on August 01, 2007. Leo was born on March 29, 1919 in Boyero, CO to Leo and Bessie (Bentley) Vick one of 4 children. He graduated from Boyero High School in 1938. Leo loved his family spending time with each one individually. He loved ranching and working with cattle. He served in WWII in the 14th infantry and was very fortunate to survive with an 80% mortality rate. Leo’s hobbies were raising horses and playing cards. Leo married Rose Vick in 1947 and to this union four children were born; Ronnie Vick, Randy Vick, Connie Mayfield and Rayford Vick. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rose, sisters; Lucille Yowell and Gwendlyn Warner and brother; Floyd Vick. He is survived by his children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, numerous friends, and extended family whom will greatly miss him. Leo’s funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, 9:30 A.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, CO with Reverend’s Frank & Linda Hoover officiating. Interment followed at the Boyero Cemetery in Boyero, CO. Memorials are suggested to the Lincoln Community Home Health and Hospice P.O. Box 248 Hugo, CO 80821.
