Bernice Kincaid

Obituary of Bernice Kincaid

Bernice Mae (Chrans) Kincaid was born July 12, 1918 to Jenna and Alfred Chrans in Reliance, South Dakota and was called home on September 5, 2007. Bernice was united in marriage to Fred Kincaid in 1936 to which three children were born to this union: Donna Coffey of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Darrell Kincaid of Sacramento, California and Debbie Kincaid of Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii. Aunt Bea (which she was so lovingly called) enjoyed crocheting, cooking and all the beautiful wonders of life. She could always find the good and positive in whatever was happening, whether it be a nice day, a pretty dress, a phone call or just a kind word. Family, friends and a good party were the most “wonderfulâ€? things to celebrate, especially if the color pink was involved! Bernice spent the last five years in the Good Samaritan Home in Simla, CO where she loved and adored the staff and residents and felt she had another whole new family to love and laugh with. She really appreciated all their devotion and caring. Bernice is survived by her children; brother, Ted Chrans; sisters, Francis Farrell and Florence Buck; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred; brothers, Clarence, Don, Earl, Lyle, Delbert, Dale, Roy and Robert; sisters, Ellen, Glaydas and Bonnie Jean; and granddaughter Laura. Please join us to celebrate Bernice’s life on Friday, September 14th, 2007 at 3:00 PM at the Good Samaritan Home in Simla, CO.
