Obituary of Eric Thelen

Eric Mark Thelen, age 31, of Wray, CO passed away on April 16, 2008. Eric was born on March 22, 1977 in Hugo, CO to Frederick L. Bletzacker and Renee L. Thelen one of three boys. Eric grew up in Hugo and graduated from Genoa/Hugo in 1995. Following graduation he attended Northwest Kansas Tech College for two years majoring in carpentry. He married Jessaca VanDorn in Hugo, CO on June 18, 2003. Eric was baptized in the Catholic Church as a child. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his son Brad and stepson Tanner. Eric enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Deloris Bletzacker. Eric is survived by his wife Jessaca Thelen of Lafayette, CO, son Bradley Thelen of Trinidad, CO, step-son Tanner Frost of Lafayette, CO, his parents, Fred and Renea Bletzacker of Hugo, CO, grandparents Art and Jackie Thelen of Hugo, CO, and Larry and Shirley Miller of Limon, CO, brothers; Shawn and his wife Rachel Bletzacker of Colorado Springs, CO and A.J. Bletzacker of Sterling, CO. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. A funeral service for Eric will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 2:00 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home Chapel in Limon, CO with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Hugo, CO. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2008 from 5-7 P.M. at the Love Funeral Home in Limon, CO. Memorials may be made to Donor’s Choice.
