The signs on 86 show the love. 17 years is not enough. I no longer have to drive by and just wonder who she was, now I know. keep the love since it is from the angel above. Remember she made it for every one she knew. I am a stranger who just knows this family really loved you. I was 19 when I lost my big brother and 30 when I lost my son who was just 8. I know years later it feels like people forget and that hurts. Just smile and remember her smile and it will all be ok. Even on the days it just is not ok. The club no parent wants to be in. It really hurts to see this I am soo sorry.

Mike, Pam, Brady, Lane & Kristen, Courtney & Aliceson, It is almost two months now and still each day is so very hard! I know Mickie knew I loved her...I just wish she knew how much! Making the funeral flowers for Mickie was such an honor and my hands shook with each flower, I consider it one of my greatest feats! I love and miss Mickie Sue so VERY much! I hold all of you in my heart and am so very thankful that we are family and are close! Linda

Mickie, I am writing this letter to you because it is the best way I know to explain how much you mean to me. I remember the day you were born, the minute I saw you, you were so beautiful. The first time I held you I knew that you would always have a special place in my heart. I watched you grow up, you were the sweetest, most loving little girl. You gave hugs, kisses and unconditional affection. As you got older, you would stay with us. You were a miniature best friend. Just taking you out to lunch, you made me feel like I had done something special. We'd talk for hours, stay up late, and sleep late the next morning. You always said you got that from me. I feel so fortunate to have watched you grow and turn into such a beautiful young woman. You never stopped making me feel special. Your heart was so big, loving, and full of life. I talked to you on the phone the day you left us. You were getting ready for school. When your mom called a few hours later to tell me what had happened, my heart broke. We rushed to the hospital, I never wanted to let go of your hand. I want to be strong and be there for your mom, I promise you I will do everything I can for her. I love you dear, sweet girl, and will miss you everyday. Love, Aunt Kim

When our son, Camden, was born Mickie came to visit us in the hospital. While holding Camden, she unwrapped his blankets and exclaimed "Oh look, he has all SIX toes." Realizing that I had not thought to count, I reached out my arms and said "Oh no, let me see." All Five of his toes were perfect and Mickie just looked at me smiled. She could always make you smile with her quick wit, unending chatter, thoughtful words, and even her simple presence. Mickie is a beautiful, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. Our hearts and prayers go out to Mickie's parents, siblings, and family. We love you all and are here for you always, anything you need. We love you cousin and we will miss you everyday. Jessie, Ryan, and Camden

There have been some very long and sad days and evenings. May God wrap His arms around you and give you comfort at this time and for all the tomorrows. Mike and Pam, So, so, very sorry. Our thoughts an prayers are with you. Mike, I can't imagine the pain. My daughters 11, every day, and I mean every day I thank God she made it through that stage of being able to walk to our office and then riding her bike to school and now playing Cal Ripken Baseball, in which she hates because the ball comes flying in there so fast. She steps in the bucket big time. Mike, I,m so sorry... I really wanted to make the funeral, but just couldn't, My son in law told me about the accident, he's the boy's basketball coach at Kiowa now. Please hang in there... I can't imagine the pain, but am so, so sorry. Eli said she was a very popular and great student athlete. Be Well... Thomas Bredehoft

Mike, Pam and family, Our deepest sympathies on your loss. If you ever want to talk, feel free to call anytime. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your familes. Some things that I have learned. There are no words that can describe what you are feeling and what you are going through during this difficult time. Keep your friends and family close, talk about Mickie often, remember the good times and the bad, because memories are all you have left to cherish. Time will help lesson the pain, but it will never go away. There are many things that will help you remember Mickie, some good some bad. There will be many first that you will have to deal with and struggle with, First birthday, first christmas, first prom, ect..without your beloved Mickie. That is a time to surround yourself with family and friends to help remember Mickie for who she was, not for who she could have been. Try not to second guess yourself or play the "what if" game. It will drag you down and eat you alive. What happened, happened you can't change that, anything you say or do will not change the fact that your daughter Mickie is gone. We believe that Ryan is in a better place for a reason, what that reason is we have yet to figure out. We have 2 wonderful guardian angles looking over us. Take care, Kevin, Paula, Paige and of course Ryan.
