I'm so sorry about your father's passing. I found this as I was working on the Johnson family history. I'm the grand daughter of Austin and Selma Johnson. If you do receive this I would really love if someone from you family would email me. Thank you so much, and again I'm so sorry for your loss.

Aunt Polly,Johnnie, Debbie, and Duane. Our sympathies and thoughts are with all of you and your families. My fondest memories of Uncle John were the stories that he always seemed to have and the way he could tell them. Every time I see a Paint horse I can't help but to think of Uncle John. We will keep you in our prayers.

Polly and family, We were sorry to hear of your loss. We know Johnnie has not been well for some time. We have many memories of him. He repaired our vehicles and the girls' school car many times for us. We also know how much he loved his paint horses. We know you'll miss him, but, you will always have your memories of him. With sympathy, Dave and Betty Corliss

My thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of great sorrow. I also wanted to share with you one of my favorite memories of Uncle John. I was invited to go to the Bonny Reservoir with you all (I was 9) Uncle John said he would teach me to water ski, I was excited waiting for him to come pick me and Debbie up so we could go Debbie tells me about a big catfish that lives in the bottom of the lake that is bigger than a house. John picks us up, I get up on the skis like a pro, (so that catfish can't get me) We are in the middle of the lake and the boat runs out of gas, John yells stay with the skis, of course the boat is going in the opposite direction. By this time I am wondering where that catfish is, a boat comes by and says John said to pick me up and it is the biggest mountain man I have ever seen in that boat. I'm thinking Catfish? or Mountain Man? When he leans over and hauls me in the boat. At the time I thought I was going to have a heart attack but now I laugh about it. The same weekend I learned what frogging was and that people really do eat frog legs. Needless to say I have never eaten them but it is one of my favorite memories of growing up around Uncle John.

I'm sure that the last few weeks have been rough on you. Although you've had a long time to prepare for Johnny's death, there's still the finality and acceptance of it. Thankfully, no one can take away the memories that you'll have to cherish. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. The United Methodist Women
