To the Harrell family - I just learned of Bob's passing. I was a classmate of Bob's at good ole' Preston High. Bob has always been one of my favorite people, and it is very sad to know he is gone from this earth. He truly was one of "good guys." I always looked forward to the possibility of seeing him at our Alumni Banquets. May God bless all of you and wrap His loving arms around you. My love to Mary, Jan and Jerry. Bab was my center on the football team in Preston, KS, and knowing he was there and his size, we always had the quarterback sneak as a backup plan. The Harrel family was very dear to me and my family, the Williams. We shared farm equipment, and my first real job was to cut wheat on one of those 12' combines that Bob's dad, Ralph used in trips to Colorado. I count that experience and working with Bob and Dave as one of my most cherished memories in growing up and learning to be a responsible and productive person. My Dad Wayne looked forward every year to Bob's visits to Pratt county during harvest season, and Bob will be missed greatly. My sympathies to his family, and gratitude for Bob's life. Doug Williams

Dear Jerry and the rest of the Harrel family. I didn't know until today that Bob had passed. I was shocked and saddened. There were many times years ago that he, Dave and I spent time at the Ramada Inn having a few and sharing stories. Those two could really tell a story!! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Mary Dischner

The Harrell family was important to us on the Wayne Schiffner farm near Burlington. I too mostly remember Bob with a smile on his face atop an implement of one sort or another. I'm sorry you lost your brother, Mary. Love, Sharon

We want to convey our condolences to all of Bob's family. Bob was always full of energy and laughter and will be greatly missed. We use to enjoy his stories when we would see him in Goltry, OK where we shared the same campground during wheat harvest. May God Bless you All. Jake, Joyce and family.

He was the best man I ever met in my life. He gave a lot of young men and boys a chance as well as a start; and I was one of them. For that I will always be grateful. He will be sadly missed.

We were deeply saddened and shocked to learn about Bob. Norman thought so much of him and Dave. He thought about calling Bob last week. Just did not get it done. We are not sure yet if we can attend the service. Hope to be able to. Are you putting anything in the Hutchinson News? Our thought are with you and all others in the family. Norman & Lois. Thanks for very much for letting us know.

Dorendo and family: Bob was always so happy and always had a good joke or funny story to tell. One of the last times I saw him he told me stories of the travels to Mexico. Sounds like a good time was had by all. And, of course, he always had "grandpa" stories. He loves those little girls! My sympathy for you and yours as you go through this difficult time. May God bless you! Sincerely, Christie (Thorson) Buchanan
