Cheryl: It was always a relief while working as a supervisor for CDOT when I saw Jack and his Dad pull up at an accident scene. I knew I could go ahead and leave and they would do whatever needed to be done to clear the road as quickly and safely as they could. He was such a huge asset, to not only the Seibert community, but to Kit Carson County as a whole. He will be missed. May God bless you and the kids; Wrap his comforting arms around you in the days ahead. Jan and my prayers are with you all.

To the entire Burian family, As I look through the other messages you've received I can only summarize what everyone has said about Jack: hard working, honest, well liked, respected in the community. He served his country and community well. He will be missed by people you don't even know. Take comfort in the fact that God has taken him because he needed him more in heaven than we did on earth. My deepest sympathies to you all.

I met Jack Burian in 1978; I liked him immediately...he kept the jury out on me for a bit longer. (Wasn't that just like Jack?) Eventually, I won him over and we have been friends ever since. We both served proudly in the USAF and shared duty stations in Misawa, Japan and Ft. Meade, Maryland. Jack was an exemplary airman and it was my honor to have served with him. Through the years and over geat distance, Jack and I maintained our friendship with cards, letters, phone conversations, and the occasional visit. Our friendship was a mirror of Jack's character: honest and steadfast. The world has become a less likeable place. I miss my friend. It is my hope to see him again. Cheryl, my deepest sympathy to you and the kids. Shirley and I will keep you, the kids, and the entire Burian Family in our thoughts and prayers.
