Obituary of Harold Busby

Harold “Hadâ€? Charles Busby, age 74, from Ogallala, Nebraska passed away on Friday, May 15, 2009 in Ogallala resulting from complications of Cancer. Had was born on November 14, 1934 in Armel, Colorado. His parents were James Earl “Tomâ€? and Martha (Jones) Busby. Had had nine brothers and one sister, two half brothers and three half sisters. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1953 and spent one year at LaJunta Jr. College from 1953 to 1954. In 1955, he married Janice Winifred Consbruck, and to this union two children Janice Becky Lynn and Bradley Jay were born. They later divorced in 1972. He served in the United States Army from 1958 – 1960. During that time he was stationed in Vicenza, Italy. On November 17, 1972, he married Marilyn Jean Clinton in Rapid City, SD. Had worked for J.W. Brewer Tire Company in Denver, Colorado for twenty five years and retired in May of 1998. Had is survived by his wife Marilyn Jean Busby of Ogallala, Nebraska, one daughter Becky Lynn Roos of Longmont, Colorado, one son Bradley Jay Busby of Denver, Colorado and one granddaughter Tyra Renee Pritt of Firestone, Colorado. He also has two step daughters Becky Hindman of Meeker, Colorado, and Linda Thomas of Littleton, Colorado, and one step son Jeff Clinton of Chandler, AZ; four step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Lyle Busby of Burlington, Colorado and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Harold will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the Love Funeral Home in Burlington with Reverend Tom Peacock officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Burlington with Military Honors provided by the Burlington VFW Post # 6491. Memorials may be made in Harold’s name to Caring Hands Hospice and may be left at or sent to the Love Funeral Home in Burlington.
