Obituary of Mary Krogsgaard

Mary Krogsgaard, 52, of Goodland, Kansas passed away August 21, 2014 at the KC Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri with her loving husband by her side. Mary was born March 19, 1962 to Leonard and Louise (Cook) Norton in Denver, Colorado. Mary met Michael Krogsgaard and they were married February 14, 1998 in Burlington, Colorado. Mary was a very creative and artistic person at heart. In her spare time she could be found doing arts and crafts. She enjoyed expressing herself through the things she made and as well as sharing these crafts with family and friends. She was also very fond of animals, cats in particular. Her cat named “Hallee” was very dear to her and has been a cuddle buddy for many years. Before her decline in health you could often find Mary on her power chair cruising up and down Main Street stopping at all of the stores and boutiques. She loved to visit, even if she wasn’t able to purchase anything she enjoyed the social interaction of stopping into the shops to just say “hello”. Mary and Michael attended the First United Methodist Church since their move 8 years ago from Burlington. What mattered most to Mary was her family, she loved her family and the time they were able to spend together. Mary is preceded in death by her grandparents, Brothers, Leonard Otis Norton, Clifford Parker Beasley, one uncle, one aunt and one great uncle. She is survived by her husband, Michael of Goodland, KS; mother, Louise E. Beasley; daughter, Angela Marie Pena of Goodland, KS; sister, Linda Kemp of North Carolina; grandchildren, Jasmine Pena , Marcus Pena and nephews; Derek Vick, Seth Vick of Salem, IL.
